Ingredients: About our organic Australian skin care ingredients

Plant seeds

Australia is overflowing with native flora that offers a treasure trove of healing, soothing and nourishing properties not found anywhere else on earth. Our unique formulation of botanicals is sourced and collected using various methods to supply the live plant ingredients for extraction of the valuable “bio-actives”. We spent countless hours researching and perfecting our formula so that your skin (and ink!) can benefit from these incredible ingredients. It’s not just great for your tattoo, but also for nature herself. Our organic ingredients are wild harvested using sustainable farming practices, to protect Australia’s eco-system, one of the oldest most certified organic lands in the world.

The Hero: Kakadu Plum Extract

Kakadu Plum is an Australian native found in the northern regions of Australia where Indigenous Aborigines have been using this plant and its fruit for food as well as for its traditional healing properties.

Originating from the Kakadu National Park, a place of enormous ecological and biological diversity this fruit has needed to survive constant exposure to extremely harsh sunlight forcing it to develop a highly efficient self‐defence system. It contains the world's highest concentration of nutrient-available Vitamin C (more than 100 times than that of an orange!) a free radical scavenger that protects the skin from environmental harm.

When applied topically, Kakadu Plum restores the skin's antioxidant defence system protecting the dermis from degradation and stimulates pro-collagen 1 and hyaluronic acid to help improve skin texture and protect against UV related damage and serves as an excellent wound healer. It has incredible medicinal properties, containing phytochemicals such as gallic and ellagic acids. Gallic acid has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activities and anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, anti-mutagenic and anti-bronchodilatory properties. Yep, it’s a bit of a mouthful, but you can see why this is now being called a superfood for your skin!
